She has certainly proven her acting ability – particularly after landing a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress earlier this month.

In one image the actress can be seen sporting a pair of green pyjamas as she lounges in bed with French actor Omar Sy, who is shirtless.

The star holds a saxophone and blows into it as Omar fiddles with the buttons on the instrument.

The gorgeous redhead’s fiery locks are left messy in the image and she sports a slick of scarlet lipstick.

And it seems Jessica isn’t just a fan of woodwind instruments.

She is joined once again by the handsome Intouchables actor who accompanies her on the saxophone as she shows off her percussion skills.

Jessica can also be seen displaying her flexibility as she poses with a string of pearls while sporting a leotard and kicking her legs in the air.

The talented star also graces the cover of the January 2013 issue of German Vogue in the exclusive photo shoot shot by Bruce Weber.

Her trademark locks are not visible but instead Jessica is swathed in crimson fabric and sports lipstick to match.

On Wednesday the actress was seen stepping out in New York in a pair of unusual sunglasses, along with black jeans, a blazer and a grey T-shirt.

She attended the premiere of the highly anticipated Zero Dark Thirty, which tells the story of the hunt for and capture of Osama bin Laden and is already generating Oscar buzz, on Monday.

Jessica said of the movie: 'This film will make news. We all think we know how it ended. We don’t. And this movie is about how it really ended.

'It is shocking. When I first read the script, I was blown away by this woman. The sacrifices she made and what she had to do. It’s something I still get very emotional about. What happens when you live for this one goal? And then you achieve it.'

Gwen Stefani matches her shades to her lippy as she makes bright sunglasses her new calling card

She's known for her trademark peroxide blonde hair, which she never fails to team with a perfect slick of red lipstick.

But Gwen Stefani has a new calling card - with the No Doubt star rocking pair after pair of thick-rimmed acetate sunglasses in bright shades.

On Wednesday she donned an eye-catching red pair, following a bright pink pair on Monday and a leopard print cats eye style on Sunday.

Gwen is sure to spark a trend with her shades. The mother-of-two as much a style icon as she is a successful singer.

On Wednesday Gwen wore her shades for a shopping trip in Los Angeles.

She made the shades a focus of her outfit, pulling together her colour blocked red and black jacket with her black leather trousers and ankle boots.

On Monday Gwen used her glasses to brighten up a chilly day in Los Angeles as she and husband Gavin Rossdale headed to get their caffeine fix together.

Gwen and her 47-year-old other half decided to grab some coffee in the early morning after finishing the school run.

The 43-year-old was bundled up warm in a check coat and thick patchwork scarf, while covering her hair in a beanie hat.

Gwen made sure she was well-prepared for the wet weather as she sported a pair of black wellington boots which she tucked her jeans into.

The star, who happily carried the two coffees, showed off an eccentric manicure with chequered nails.

Meanwhile Gavin was also dressed down in a thick padded jacket, black beanie, T-shirt and jeans.

Gwen tells the new issue of Vogue that she feels 'proud' of their ten-year union.

She explained: 'There are just so many rewards that come with it. You have to work at it. But, actually, it’s fun to get to this point.

'Because you learn so much about somebody. It’s like these wars that go on and then you kind of get through it to the other side, and it’s like, Wow. And obviously, you get stronger.

'And then having kids takes the whole relationship to another place. It is the ultimate collaboration. Both of us have such strong opinions about how it should be, and it’s really fun to do it together.'

Princess Michael of Kent and the elixir of youth: Queen's cousin looks remarkably young as she arrives at Royals' Christmas lunch

Judging by this photograph, it seems unlikely that Princess Michael of Kent will be asking for a pot of anti-ageing cream in her Christmas stocking this year.

The wife of the Queen’s cousin, who celebrates her 68th birthday in January, looked astonishingly youthful as she arrived at Buckingham Palace yesterday.

Her blonde hair was swept back in an elegant chignon, revealing her razor-sharp cheekbones and virtually line-free face.

Nicknamed Princess Pushy for her imperious nature, she has admitted using Botox in the past and once joked to friends that ‘toyboys keep me young’.

The keen historian, Baroness Marie Christine Anna Agnes Hedwig Ida; née von Reibnitz, has penned many books.

But the Royal has more than just stunning good looks and a feisty sense of humour to boast of - she is a passionate lover of art and history and has written many books.

Since her marriage she has written three historical biographies, including: 'Crowned in a Far Country:Eight Royal Brides'; 'Cupid and the King: Five Royal Paramours', and 'The Serpent and the Moon: Two Rivals for the Love of a Renaissance King'.

For 13 years, the princess served on the Board of the Victoria and Albert Museum, and as President of Partridge Fine Art in Bond Street.

She was among 40 royals attending a pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace yesterday.

The Queen holds the event every year to ensure relatives she doesn’t have room for at Sandringham, her private Norfolk estate, still get a chance to celebrate in style.

Unusually, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived separately. Prince William hitched a ride with his cousin Lord Linley – perhaps after buying some last-minute gifts at his shop in Pimlico.

But the couple left together, with the pregnant duchess beaming at her husband in the car.

Kate’s attendance yesterday is the latest sign that she is on the mend, after being treated for an acute form of morning sickness earlier this month.
